Strengthening Membership and Governance

The workshops held alongside the AGM were critical in laying the groundwork for DN’s evolving membership strategy. As DN moves forward with its 2023-2025 strategy, a focus on improving membership engagement and governance will be key to expanding DN’s reach and effectiveness across the South Asian region. Participants engaged in productive discussions on how DN can attract new members, ensure inclusive representation, and create value for its existing members.

Looking Ahead

With new leadership and a renewed focus on strategic priorities, DN is well-positioned to continue making a significant impact in disaster risk reduction across South Asia. The outcomes of the AGM and strategic planning workshops will serve as a foundation for future initiatives aimed at fostering collaboration, strengthening governance, and building resilience in the region.

DN looks forward to continuing its work alongside its members and partners, contributing to a safer and more resilient South Asia.
